Blue Mountain Elk Herd Report.
« on: July 31, 2011, 10:29:23 PM »
Personally I think this report is BS. Since in the report non of their bulls were killed by Sasquatch.  So obviously the Blue Mountain Mafia has corrupted yet another Government report.  But other than the omission of the effects that sasquatch has on our elk herds its a pretty good report.  THe attached link has the one page Intro of the report or you can click on the upper right corner of the WDFW page and read the whole thing.

It's loaded with all sorts of the stuff we like to argue about such as Tribal harvest, effects of road density etc.  Here's a hint:  Road Density had a direct impact on harvest.  And the WDFW uses the politically correct term "nontrivial" to describe the effect that Tribal harvest has on the elk herd down there.

Woodchuck, Pathfinder, runamuk and 400out, I may have been silently lately but I've still got my eye on your evil organization.  You may have won this round but I'll be back.  The truth will be HEARD!!!!

Oh yes Rosscrazyelk, the Blue Mountain Mafia's hired gun.  I figured you'd chime in on this one.  I'm sure you had nothing to do with the results of this report?   >:(

Duh!  Reduce roads and make it harder for hunters and poachers to access them then harvest will decrease.  Did we really need to waste state dollars on this?

We praise the Blue Mountain elk herd and we drool over  the permits to hunt those elk yet we blast the science that made that herd what it is? What should they have done, just let nature take it's course? Right....come on, man, give me a break.

NO, NO, NO - there is a VERY GOOD reason why bigfoot wasn't mentioned in the Blue Mountain report.  It's because bigfoot has NO effect in the Blue Mountains.  So, WDFW might have been more crafty then we initially thought and managed to circumvent the BMM and the intense pressure put on by them and their minions.  Yes, they have minions.

Despite what the BMM likes to pretend, the effects of bigfoot are wholly felt in Kittitas County and the Colockum elk herd.  As we all know by now, there are no longer any elk in the Colockum.  Despite the concern about elk mortality in the Blues, at least there are some elk there that can actually die.  Elk mortality in the Colockum is now 0% because there are no elk left there that can die and contribute to the statistics.

Quit pretending, runamuk.  We've all seen your BMM tattoo.

unless the mafia emblem is cherries, strawberries or cupcakes (or swallow, or phoenix, or celtic knots) pretty sure I dont have that tattoo :chuckle: but I do need another one or ten :chuckle:

and colockum penned up all the elk in colockum and guards them with a black helicopter thought everyone knew that ;) :chuckle:

I wasn't blasting the science but rather the decision to spend money on the science.  It doesn't take a PHD in biology to figure out that enhancing escapement by limiting road access and thus hunting pressure will increase the chance of bull survival.  But apparently it does in this state in order to justify a good decision.

Science is not free. I think there's more to that report than just --the closer they are to the roads, the more bulls die--

It definitely does not take a phd in  biology to figure that out...but what else are they doing?

What the heck is the blue mountain mafia?

LOL this guy must be thinking "WTF, kind of weirdos are these people. I thought it was a hunting website and all they talk about are sasquatch."  :chuckle:

Halflife don't worry about being on "the list" I've been on that list for a year now.  As long as you stay off the roads the BMM can't touch you.  They are so used to how easy the Blue "Mountain's" Mole Hills are that when they get to the steep and rugged Colockum they can't make it far from the road.  You should be safe.  And as runamuk stated I'll keep a watch over you with my black helicopter.

I have been hunting and camping in the blues for 31 years. I have never seen any elk up there. They do not exist. Bigfoot on the other hand are a dime a dozen. They are roaming everywhere up there.  So if you wanna shoot a quality bigfoot they are there, but if you are looking for elk stay away you are just wasting your time. If I were you I would head to hanford.

The blue Kool-aid was delicious. The price we don't talk about those things. But money wasn't the issue, it's all about the truth that there are no elk in the blues.  I don't understand why people waste there time to hunt there. Waste of gas waste of time so take my advice and don't go there.

Wolves wouldn't stand a chance in the Blues or the Colockum for that matter.  Bigfoot would kill them off just like they've done to the elk.

The local bigfoots in the blues are actually keeping several wolves as pets. The blues elk are going to be wiped out. All 5 of them before September I bet. The only things left are predator's to hunt. If you want to kill deer or elk I hear the cascades have lots.

Trust me emac I'm a marked man.  If I got within 100miles of the BMM headquarters I'd be a dead man.  Unless......  this may or may not actually happen one day during a BMM meating.  Live in fear BMM, live in fear.   :yike:        :chuckle:

The key is "meating".  When something like that happens it definitely goes from being a meeting to being a meating.

Not sure why it's necessary to keep reiterating it: the Blues are an elk hunter's paradise.  They'll load themselves in the back of your truck before you shoot them if you ask nicely.   No elk in Colockum.  Too many bigfoots.  Radio collared by the BMM, too.
