$700.00 for used 4X4 truck
$3.53 gallon for fuel at 19mpg
$200.00 for used bow
$48.00 dozen arrows
$0.00 arrow Rest (came with the bow)
$30.00 bow quiver
$25.00 bow sight
$50.00 game camera
$15.00  trigger release
$12.00 stabilizer
2 scouting trips and 3 days of hunting

Sorry.  I couldn't resist using your layout to post my own stats.  :chuckle:   I completely agree though.  Don't skimp on the broadheads.

I went with Magnus.  If you figure that a person, depending on use, would need a new 6pk of broadheads ever 3-4 years, over a hunting likfe, that could be 10+ sets.  I went with Magnus so that I could essentially buy those 10 sets all at once for the low price of $30/3pk.  Over a lifetime, that works out to $1/broadhead.  Don't get much cheaper than that.

Ya im sticking with the muzzy's this year.  But I was looking on Cabellas and theirs looked good.  Things get so expensive anymore its nice to save a buck or two.

Ebay!  Just ordered a dozen MX-3's.

Broadheads for huntin or bait for fishin is not an area to skimp on.  Its the single most important piece of the whole deal at the time of release.  Slick Tricks shoot real well for me.  Its gonna cost you 10 bucks a broadhead for anything worth its salt.  Good stuff isn't cheap and the cheap stuff isn't good.

makes me wonder how many people purchase the cheapies and contribute to that recent number of lost game animals............They are so worried about a flourescent light on their arrow.......  Put a damn good broadhead on it and you won't have that problem.

Killed 15 or so elk with Thunderheads over the years, but thought I might try the Shuttle T-lock, anyone have any experience with them?

Might want to sharpen them before you use them.  But they fly nice and are durable.  A little noisy in flight.  The steap blade angle allows you to get away with a level of dullness one might not with the Thunderhead.

Personally I would stick with the T-Head or change to another head with strip ground blades.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Magnus, snuffers, muzzies. Any will work but partial to Magnus 2 blades. Simple full-proof coc design and no wind plane

Was shooting muzzy 4 blades, but couldnt get them to group.  Started shooting inner locks and much better.  3 for 30.00 is what I found.

Have montec G5's which i love, super durable fly pretty accurate, and just bought a 3 pack of shuttle t's, they shoot even better than the Montec's but like stated before they will need to be sharpened, not sure which ones i will hunt with, but i guess either way they are a solid choice.

I would like to try slick tricks and some of the magnuses though, we'll see.

Well im shooting 4 blade muzzy's.  My buddy gave me a couple montecs to try and they shot the same as my muzzy's.  So now its just what I prefer.  Im sticking with the muzzy's until they let me down, which I dont think they will.  If it aint broke dont fix it.
