3 Antelope finished up ( A Living Memory Taxidermy)
« on: August 20, 2011, 06:11:17 AM »
Well got these 3 finished up and they are heading back to the customers.

I know a lot of hunters will be heading to Wyoming and other places to hunt this year for Antelope. Just remember antelope are notorious for slippage. I myself got to go last year, animal was on the ground, and in the walk in cooler with in about 2 hours. And had some slippage in that time frame. Also if you got one on the ground I recommend carrying it to the truck, you drag one five feet and the hair is gone. On one doe she was facing downhill all I did was grab her and spin her around and she had a bald spot bigger than a softball.   So just some things to keep in mind.

Good luck hunting to all who is going after the speed goats this year.

Great heads up Joe!  when we went two years ago, there was no dragging going on, took photos, gutted and onto the shoulders.  We got back to camp and off came the hide for a quick cooling :IBCOOL: Be gental or be slippin!

Great mounts! Antelope are on my short list of animals I want to hunt!
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

John,

Fishing will come soon, I have a very close friend that is wanting me to go for a ride in his new boat!!!!!!   Hopefully with the moose hunt and all the other hunts this year I will get a day to enjoy the water.....

Or if your smart you can do what Joe did... he invited a much younger and masculan man to tag along to carry his animals back to the truck...hahaha. My buck and doe look AWESOME!!! I got a spot already picked out on the wall for them and my Mule Deer. Thanks again Joe.

LMAO, with age comes wisdom Scott. Lucky for you when you get my age you will have your boys to do that. I think I will be carrying Shawns and Sams animals for a long time.   You better get a bigger spot, all of your stuff is done, both antelope, whitetail, blacktail and mule deer. I just got to work on that coyote rug now for you.....
