campmeat thanks i will have to try that out. and kck elk isnt new to me it is just my first time having a tag  , bear was a new thing for me and mtnmuley its no bull*censored* the smallest one was 296.. if bonapart doesnt work out like u guys are saying it wont where is a good place to hunt elk over this way near chelan cause i dont have much money for gas.

I know people that live up there and they do see them. Few and far between, but, you might be the one to get one. I think I know the rancher that owns the " private land " they are on. The locals come first if you know what I mean.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

I think someone is pulling your leg...either the taxi or the hunters are feeding someone a line of crap.  But you are still young and bound to believe everything you hear...so good luck soldier. But I know for a fact I wouldn't waste a minute of my time elk hunting up in that area.  Now deer hunting is a whole different topic.

Are you for real? Try Gmus 328 & 329. There are a few elk in Okanogan county but they are hard to find. Even the locals have trouble finding them. Better have a good rig, the roads in the Colockum are pretty rough. Then you'll need to take a walk to get away from all the people.
