Yes there is one. If it's a county or state maintained road. There is a certain amount of feet you have to be off the road from the center line. "I am not sure the exact number" Private roads like ones on say your ranch are o.k. to shoot from, but you can't shoot from a rig still. Unless you have a disabled permit. Then there are still rules with that as well. We have had those charges added on by wardens to people trying to shoot deer from the road on our property so I know there is a restriction on that. I like it when they hammer them with shooting from a rig/shooting from a maintained road/ loaded gun in the rig/ tresspassing. Sure adds up nice and puts a dent in the idiots walllets

Sure adds up nice and puts a dent in the idiots walllets There is no actual distance. You essentially have to be outside the maintained portion of a road. For example, if a brush cutter goes driving down the road you have to be outside of his cutline, everything inside of that cutline is considered "maintained". These regs apply to any public roadway, doesn't matter if it's owned by WDFW, DNR, USFS, BLM or a county.
I've been bugging WA DFW to put out decoys around the LT Murry. Poaching, trespassing is really bad there. The more they put out the better IMO
are you kidding, they'd have trouble with huggers trying to mount or sodomize their decoys.
For the money spent, I would rather they target off season poaching. It sounds like they are just wasting tax dollars if they have to go meet with hunters who legally shoot at the thing. Besty money spent would be on guys who shoot it off season. Get the poachers.
