It's not just the nasty weather that is going to help this weekend................it is the fact that they are in the rut now.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

Well let me tell ya this ... I have seen more deer the first week of the season than I have this week ... The last two days I hunted the best areas I know and they are still moving at dark ...This morning I got to my spot and thought for sure it was time to burn some powder but after glassing my butt off in the rain and wind I seen sheet !! So I walk up the old skid road and it was ate up with tracks from last night and I was there just as it cracked light ....hopefully tomorrow will be good since we had severe winds all day today... Typical blacktail hunting  :chuckle: :dunno:

Have seen 4 does this year.
Shot 1 tonite. At least I filled 1 tag.
It's not true that I am good for nothing---I can be used as a bad example!!

Have shot my fair share of WT and MD but new to the BT realm.  They are a nasty little critter..... I love them already!  Took advantage of the horizontal torential downpour out here on the Peninsula today and tagged my first blacktail.  It was a nasty, wet from head to toe kind of day.  Not much for size but biggest buck I have seen in the 6 months I have been here.  Following a couple of does so should be a good weekend for the rest of you!
