Man!  Those are nice.  Even if they don't make it to next season I bet they bread a bunch of does in your area so the next few years of bucks should be sweet.
Such is life in the West and the further West the more the such.

I like that second pic.. looks like fur hanging off his sticker ;)  I sure hope you get him on cam this summer..really interested in seeing him next year..I think he gets bigger..I dont think hes reached his max potential as some said hes 5 1/2..my guess to..he doesnt have that long face yet.

Ill disagree on the second buck...he'll never grow a g4 on the one side and I have watched to many bucks like this over the years..Id be surprised if he grew 10" in his lieftime

Yeah. My best guess is also 5 1/2 but I honestly don't know. With 6 1/2 usually being their best year for antler growth I am hope he is 5 1/2  :chuckle:.  By 4 /12 most bucks have reached 90% of their potential (assuming nutrition is good and consistent). That being said I have seen a few bucks put on a lot more than that between 4 1/2 and 6 1/2.

I agree he will likely not add the g4 but I do believe he will put on over 10 inches in his lifetime. I think he will add a minimum of 10 inches between this year and next year alone.

He has that box frame to him that I love and he is a young deer my guess is a 3 year old buck. Looking at his face and body structure I don't think he could be older then that. He is just going to get wider/taller and pack on some mass and throw in a few extra points for good measure :chuckle: Its always fun to dream!

One of these days I will have to post a picture or 2 of a set of shed I have from a buck I called legend! I watched him winter almost every year in the same canyon on our place. Dam shed hunting tresspassers beat me to his sheds most years. I did find one side when he was 6 and then the matching set when he was 7! then never saw him again after that winter. Always showed up from the mountains late after everyone else. I love to watch deer grow! Its one of the coolest things when you have history with a animal. I was always happy to see him and never had any desire to shoot him even though he was a monster. He was just a majestic buck that I loved having around!

I look forward to seeing those sheds

Man, both those deer are really impressive. You have got the whitetail dialed in. Did you guess the score on these bucks? Not that it matters, but I curious to hear your thoughts. And keep in mind you guessed your buck low this year...  :chuckle:

I think the big one will gross between 187-192 and the other one is somewhere around 140 give or take a few. If the 4x5 adds 10-20 inches he will be very nice next year.

I think this thread should be reported to the mods andeerd taken down. That deer is obscene and will make me have unreal expectations  about what real everyday deer look like. The rack is just not something most if us see in our lives. Sure...there are places to go just to see that kind of rack.....but get our hands on them......not gonna happen. Ah but a man can dream. Impressive.
