WOW getting stuck with it is one thing, but breaking it off I bet that hurt!

Wow.  That looks like a deer tine.  Awfully spindly to be from an elk.  With the force needed to accomplish that, I'm definately confused.

Great photos, elk are super tough animals.  We recovered three bullets this year, 300 mag @ 102 yards, bullet went through both shoulders and stopped against the skin on opposite shoulder, 30.06 at 120 yards, 180 grain, through shoulder stopped against far shoulder, 30.06 through shoulder, angled out top of neck against the skin, 180 grain 160 yards.  hard to even get a bullet through em:)  Cool post.
