dpms mini sass

i know theres alot of topics about AR and AR style rifles. im looking to buy a dpms panther mini sass in 223 and was woundering if anyone owned 1 or has shot 1 and what everyone thought about it? before i spend this kind of money (its not pocket change)  i like to research as much as i can but cant seem to find anyone that has 1 of these. i would just like some input from folks that know there stuff. thank you all

Everyone has their own dislikes, likes, purposes for AR's. Buy it, shoot the hell out of it. If you like it, keep it and if not trade it or sell it. Personally I own my share of AR's and have built many. I have never had anything DPMS on my gun bench, personal preference. I really don't care for factory offerings, nothing wrong with them, they shoot but there is a whole different world to AR's  beond the factory stuff.

this will be my first AR other then the m16a2 the army gave me for a time   :chuckle: i know there are 1000,s of different models out there then there the 1000,s of build your own but everyone has to start somewhere. i thought that this would be the best place and way to start for someone new to AR,s

If your going to drop 1500.00 or so on a AR, there are many custom and semi custom offerings with quality after market accessories and quality barrels. Im big on barrels, I don't care how goochie your AR is. If you don't have a quality barrel with the proper  twist for its application, none of it matters.

Here is a link to some local offerings , do some research. Get the most you can for your buck if your not going to build it yourself. This will give you a general idea of what's available in and around the $1500.00 mark. Not knocking DPMS, but personally I would spend my money else where.
