Saw a ton of poults today.

I saw a lot of very small poults today with there hens. They were softball size or smaller. Does this seam unusual to you. I'd think they'd be at least half the size of momma by now. Don't believe I've seen such a late hatch. Normal????   :dunno:

Maybe because of the wet weather this spring they had another "Hatch" so some of the chicks have a chance !!  :dunno:

Must be from the irregular cold spring. Hope they make it....!

Probably similar to others where they can have two hatches. I know when grouse get their first hatch killed due to conditions or prey they can have another hatch later.

my work take's me through 3 county's here...  and have been seeing lot's of poult's everywhere....right now their about the size of a ruffled grouse....  think we may have lucked out with our wet spring
