A big thanks for taking us turkey novices hunting last weekend. Accomodations, great food & professional operation run by you & Tara. It was all good!  Save some birds for us for next year. We'll be back! Mike & Doug

Turkeysaurus is hung up about 150 yds out.  :bash:

As it turned out we finally got turkeysaurus in fairly close and had a shot but missed, planning on going after him again this weekend after he settles back down.

Next we moved to another property and smacked a 7" bearded hen right off the bat. Then a couple hours later we smacked a 9 1/4" tom that went a little over 20 pounds. So even though we started out with a miss we still had a double bird day.

Nick with his hen & tom.

I was busy and never had a chance to post the hunt from the day before.

First thing in the morning we called in an 8 7/8" tom that weighed about 18 1/2 pounds, Casey made an awesome 50 to 55 yard shot with hevi-shot. About an hour after that Vern missed a nice mature tom and then just before lunch Vern closed the deal on a 9 1/8 tom that weighed about 20 pounds. We headed in for lunch and Ray's hunter Jay had whacked his second bird a 8 1/2" tom. After lunch Nick missed another nice tom, so we finished the day with three nice longbeards.

I've had 8 hunters this week which is more than we had for the opener plus it's been fairly good hunting. We've been passing on many of the jakes and we've had numerous misses on some nice mature birds, but we've still taken 7 longbeards, 2 jakes, and 2 bearded ladies, for a total of 11 birds this week, so that's a pretty good week for mid-season.

I'm about out of hunters again, anyone wanting to shoot a turkey should contact me, hunting is pretty good right now. We offer guided hunts, unguided hunts, and hunting maps, I can take cash or credit card and I am willing to take many different things on trade, I would rather be hunting than wishing I was hunting, so let me know what you would like to trade.

We have a "Guaranteed Hunt" option now too...

Hey, that is a good looking group of birds..and hunters!

I am curious if you have any blinds that have wood pellet fired stoves to keep you warm in?
