Anyone around here hunt with traditional patched round balls? Seems most of the posts are inlines and conicals, pellets, etc. I shot my best group yet this week and thought I'd brag a bit and show what traditional gear can do. 5 shot group, 50 yards, standing offhand. .530 balls, 0.015 patch, 70 gr Goex FF black powder, Lyman Great Plains caplock that I built from a kit. |

While i dont ML here in Wa, in AR, when i did, all i shot was patched round balls. I never felt they lacked anything. |
