new binos
« on: April 16, 2012, 12:21:06 PM »
Picked up a pair of 10x42 Vortex HD Vipers today.  I am pretty excited about it.  Now I just need to upgrade my harness system.  Does anyone have any feedback on the Badlands bino case/harness?  It looks pretty sweet, but seems like a lot going on, especially if you're wearing a pack.

Nice man, those will come in handy when you go looking for that spring bear! I still use the old school crooked horn system, its all outdated. Stickslinger has the Nimrod ones that are pretty sweet. Not sure about the Badlands though.

I have a Nimrod binoculars bra. I really like it. Where are you located? I think I have an extra I could get to you. Let me know and I will see if I can dig it up at home tonight.

I appreciate it!  I think that I am on the opposite side of the state from you though.  I am drowning over here on the "Wet side" in Tacoma.

Hey cascade I looked through all of my stuff and can't find the binoculars strap. Must have already given it away. Sorry.

I guess I better look through the box again.  I figured it was just a neck strap.   :yike:

I got the Badlands bino case as a present from my hunting buddy. It's nice, but it's not compatible with other badlands packs, which seems silly to me. I'll probably use my Crooked Horn harness with a full backpack and could use the badlands bino case with a fanny pack.

Yeah, I feel the same, been using them about ten years though. Some of the new systems are way more comfortable IMO.

I heard Badlands is now making a new case that's compatable to their packs. :dunno:
