CAN ALL OF YOU THAT HIKE  MT PEAK THIS PLEASE NOT STAND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND PARK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD IT IS A DANGEROUS CORNER.
Sorry but I have to put this up, my parents live down that road and it is the most annoying/ dangerous thing when people consume half the road by parking their car on the side, and then procede to leave their car doors open while they tie shoes and what not. Kinda makes it impossible to drive 2 cars through there, not to mention dodging the idiots that stand and socialize in the middle of the road. I thought all of you should be aware, so don't get all pissy when I honk/yell at you for making my drive extra dangerous around the trail corner. Sorry I am not sorry for the rant, but I see idiots down there at the trail everytime.

It's amazing how many out of state licence plates there are out there. I have worn baseball cleats and used ski poles. The trail to the far right is pretty tuff. Grabing tree roots to pull yourself up. Be careful, my surgeon gets all his customers from Mt Peak!

Once watched a hiker let her dog out of the car. The dog ran into the street and almost caused a disaster as 50 or 60 bike racers (you know, the guys with the rubber shorts) came wizzing down the hill! Here's some additional advice: if you park with so much as 2% of one tire on the pavement, you may get a ticket. Happened to my Buckley friend. Also, leave nothing in your car and leave your glove box open. Somebody knocked out my window (with the doors unlocked) to grab a pair of pathetic shoes (falling apart, paint splatters, etc.).

Anyway, if you see me out there say hello. Here's a photo of some December training I did which some random guy snapped with his phone:

I wasn't much better today, 22:30 on the nose.  I figure I should be back in the 17 min range by April 1.

 :yeah:
Do you have any idea how hard it is to avoid those piles when you're riding a bike down Mt. Pete? One irritated hiker walked the road on the back side with a can of fluorescent pink spray paint and sprayed a circle around every pile. I counted more than 30.
