That's the last time I'm going off my uncalibrated eye without my rangefinder as backup! I'm glad that I now have a good reason to justify a new set of arrows. The range was pretty good though. Well maintained. I do wish they had more than one target at each distance at the flat range. They have 2 3-D courses and I only went on the one be the trap range. They even have a moose target! I'd pay for a membership, but they have a 4 year wait list.

you will sacrifice some arrows but shooting without a rangefinder will make you better
-
You remind me of the Guy i shot with last week he blow up a couple also.

Haha funny guy d-rock. :chuckle:

i try.

If i know the range, I can shoot pretty good. This was my first time shooting without one, and I'm definitely in need of some new arrows.
-
Where is the range at and do they do 3-ds once a week?
-
3-d once a week Monday nights starting at 5pm. Look up Seattle rifle and pistal range.

Play the game and learn from your mistakes......leave the range finder at home. A few times through that course and you should be able to smoke it.

Missing and breaking arrows is pretty much the same thing as using a rangefinder, except a lot more expensive. Once I miss, I automatically know what pin I should've used. For instance, there was a downhill shot that I guessed was 50 yards, and my arrow was just over the shoulder. So I can use my 40 yard pin and hit the target on my second shot no problem.

Wow a 4 year wait list. I know at my range, Cascade Rifle and Pistol new memberships are closed til they fall below the 1000 member mark.

Yep, they only signed up 22 new members this year.....ouch! Good Archery set up though!
-
I believe they only keep 300 members a year.

That day cost us 2 arrows too. The wife lost one into the weeds, and I broke one off trying to get it out of the backstop. Man, those rubber mats hold onto your arrows! I think not puling them out of that rubber matting was a bigger motivator than not losing/breaking them!

Haha i walk away unscathed. :IBCOOL:
-
sounds like a new range needs to open up someplace. :dunno:
-
I would love to have the machias range opened up for more than just one day! I'm headed to the Granite falls archery range today to check it out.
-
Ill most likely be shooting granite tonight too.
-
What's the cost of the machias? Where's it at?
-
8 bucks for i think 28 targets. Look up Seattle rifle and pistol club for location.
-
I need to get down to Machias and shoot that one of these mondays. Do they keep it open till the beginning of the Hunting season?
Silver Arrow Bowmen In Mt Vernon doesn't have its 3d targets out but we have a 10-50yrd flat range and a 35+ target walk through course. $2 a day person open everyday. :twocents:
-
I think its open tell the 2nd or 3rd Monday of August
-
What time on Mondays? I know exactly where that is. About 2 minutes from my place.
-
Is this the Machias by Snohomish?
-
5 till dusk
