The Federal Way Costco has the 8mp with batteries , sd card, strap and mounting bracket for $120.
-
Thanks for the heads up!
-
So is this a good deal? Is the camera good?
-
Can't say I've ever heard anything good about Stealth Cam. But then, I haven't heard anything bad either. :dunno:
Seems I just don't ever see much on the net on Stealth Cam. I'd be leery since they don't seem to be very popular.
When I get a chance I'll look and see if there's a review over on chasingame.com

I don't know a lot about trail cameras but I know that Jim Shockey endorses them.. But that really dos not mean anything..
-
I've had nothing but bad luck with stealth cams.
One I bought stopped working within a week and another wouldn't even turn on right out of the box!
-
Seems like I've read of a lot of problems with Stealthcams. They aren't very reliable. I've had a Wildgame Innovations 3mp infrared that's on it's 2nd season. Paid $65 with SD Card and takes great pics.

Well thats all I needed to know, If a professional hunter does not like them I am sold.
One thing to think about though is Costco takes anything back so if there is a problem(EVER) take it back :chuckle:

That is a good point. It might be worth trying one just because you can always take it back to Costco and get your money back.

Crazy some guys have bad luck with Stealth Cams. So far outta all the different cameras we have tried the Jim Shockey Stealth cam has been the best hands down. Only downfall is they require 4 C batteries and are a little bulky. Always performed in freezing cold temps, easy operation, great pics.

I see they have it online also, for $99.99, shipping included. However, I don't think the batteries are included. They also have a WGI cam online for the same price.

I have two, The old one that takes C batteries work great. The Delta 8 is CRAP in my opinion.
-
Liljozie and I use stealth cams, had them up in the woods for the past couple of months and have worked just fine  Not saying I wouldnt expect something to go wrong by the looks of other comments though. I payed 100 online for mine and it takes good pics, checking it tomorrow morning I will post pictures once I get back.

Guess I should have put the disclaimer: Your mileage may vary. :chuckle: I think if you get a good electronic ANYTHING, you are lucky. i'm always amazed when i get something that works these days!

All of these trail cams are made in China. Need I say more?
-
how about this, are the guys doing good with them from eastside or westside..Just wondering if a wetter climate could make the difference

Nope...That pretty much covers it!

Really? What isn't made there nowadays. Hunting packs, clothing, trail cameras, etc...
-
All of mine are in E Wa. Like I said before. The older one is Awesome.....the new one is crap.

Yeah the Delta 8 was the last 2 I had tried and neither of them worked.
Ive never tried the Shockey edition ones..
-
i got one of the newer stealth cams and its pretty bad a**. i think i takes better pics then my pa-in-laws bushnell 8mp cam. especially at night time... just sayin if you want quality for less then 150$ id go with one of the stealth cams
-
I bought one yesterday to give it a try. It works with my external battery and solar panel without any batteries, so I'll be happy if it keeps ticking along.
-
I have a bush ell and a wild game both work ok but I think the wild game takes better shots. We have one at work with a external power button which is crap.
-
I use Moultrie, love them... have to say the older bigger ones work better aswell... even thru bear attacks they still out perform my new small ones.... :dunno:
-
I have 2 of the stealth cam units and they work great never had a single problem w them.

Which ones do you have? I think the Delta 8 are the ones with problems.
-
Truthfully with costco's return policy I don't know how you can go wrong unless they completely don't work but seems like a pretty good deal.
-
They are called the unit or the big unit they are the small cameras and they work great. They kind of look like the delta 8 but are all black.
-
Just hung the camera about 6 miles into the wilderness, so we'll see how it works. I put it on an external battery. I really liked the ball/swivel mounting system they had with it.
-
anyone know if they are still in stock?
-
Yeah I was just at the Federal way Costco and they do still have a bunch of them. They also have the Walkers electronic muffs for $39.
-
I looks like a nice combo but I wouldn't use the mounting bracket, I'm a firm believer in using metal boxes lagged to a tree and a python cable. Once some low-life scum steals your camera, you become a believer.
-
Burlington Costco has them too.
-
Bought one two weeks ago. I really like the mount bracket. I had quite a few pictures after a week, and they were nice clear pics. The problem was that I did not know how well the zoom option worked. Most the pics were of half the head. Turned it to normal so I will see this weekend.
I think it's going to work pretty well.
-
I picked one up tonight and have been fittling with it, seems fairly straightforward to use, can't wait to get it out. I'm not sure how the zoom option works.

I think if you use some sort of bait the zoom in would be more useful. I just put mine on trails so it didn't work to well. Picture was clear, it was just to close to see the whole deer. I'm still figuring it out though.

Everett costco has them as of Tuesday
