I bought my bear tag this year for the first time and was just wondering if i could get a general location on where to go for bears,im located in Quincy soo i am not surrounded by bears haha,i do elk hunt the clockum,quilomeme areas and late white tail hunt up by hunters wa,so i qm familiar with those areas just never have seen bear or bear sign, any help is appreciated thanks!

There are some monsters around Hunters I'm surprised you don't see sign. My buddies ride some state land up there horseback and run across them often. There was some good articles in the old Fishing and Hunting News that had some Washington maps and where to find them. I don't know if a person could still get them to pull up on google since they went out of business. are you looking for a high altitude hunt or something easier?

Bear sign is a little different on this side of the hills.....I dont see the tree peels and a few other things that i saw so much of on the wetside.....more stump damage, tuber digging......gonna keep my eye on some promising berry patches....I skipped bear last year just did not have the money or time.....however this year its on ...... I got my tag and I am ready come august hope to get very serious and find a yogi.....

if hunting the NE area..find the berries! or apple and pear trees..hunt the south and west faces of hills..find a place with a good vanatge point and glass it and dont discount spot because u didnt see anything in a hour or so..I sit in my best spots and not see anything for hours then boom theres a bear out milling around

Hey dont be giving away my spots :bash: Besides C-Post is a better area filled with tons of big bear. A first timer can easily get a bear there
