Title: Cant wait for august.
Post by: bearmanric on July 03, 2012, 08:55:27 PM: Have one AR ready for august coyote time. It is one of the AR'S i won at the Predatormasters hunt in New mexico.It is a DPMS Lightwiegt Praire Panther. I put Vortex scope on it very clear 2.5 x 10 x 44 Viper. It is a 223 i'm shooting 55gr. vmax. Excited this year going to call alot of states this year. Next is a 6.8 playing with 110 vmax and sierra 110 prohunter. Going to be a great year. Rick

What paint and primer do you recommend for synthetic stocks ??? And does it last , as in not wear off where the gun is handled the most.

Post by: calib on July 05, 2012, 05:05:01 PM: for paint i have used krylon, but if you have the money or know someone who does duracoat you could do that and it would last quite a while same as getting it dip painted. the second two options cost a bit more

Post by: bearmanric on July 05, 2012, 05:47:53 PM: I use bowflage. It does great. Would like to get dipped but dont want to take it part. My other two AR's are jamming. I'm use to a reliable bolt action. Taking them in to get fixed this week. I will check out the Krylon fun painting my self. Rick

Post by: Heredoggydoggy on July 05, 2012, 05:58:34 PM: Why are they jamming? You aren't running them "dry" are you? ARs love oil--if you aren't getting oil flecks on your shooting glasses on the first shot, you're not using enough oil! :dunno:

Got the 6.8 fixed yesterday the gas hole was off a thousands shoots great here it is.

Too bad you won't be at the egg shoot. I'll have my two 223 ARs and my 6.8 SPC AR. :IBCOOL:

I been to 6 of the eggshoots at the Predatomasters hunt came close a couple times. It's alot of fun. I also got the RRA Trigger yesterday yes will be adding the winter gard. Rick
