Title: saw tons of elk tonight.
Post by: huntergreg on July 04, 2012, 11:16:01 PM: Went for a drive with the family tonight and saw over 300 elk. Didnt even have to get away from the roads. Went up to set out a few trail cams. Sorry for the bad pics!

Was planning on taking the family out that way for a camping trip, but this weekend supposed to be around 100 (so far looks like mid 80's for the weekend after...though that could always change). Will probably go the next weekend. Lot of green out there, should be good food base for all those elk.

Will probably hit Waitts lake this weekend for some perch. Getting tired of taking the 3 and 5 year old out and catching so many trout. Getting tired of trout.

She sees tons of animals in the valleys & along the roads and the animals aren't to scarred. Makes it hard to strike out & have to explain. Mike
