I have reason to believe Dick's Sporting Goods is opening a store in the Spokane Valley. This may be old news but I am atarting to see contracts coming across my desk. Valley Mall it looks as if it is where Sportsman Warehouse once was.

I have found Dicks sporting goods to be a waste of time, just an oversized Big-5

:yeah:
-
I agree.

Dicks has good deals on Sports clothes, No hand guns and limited hand gun ammo. What ammo they do have is pretty cheap though.
They must have idiots ordering their rifles and shotguns, very few are worth even concider to buying. They have a ton of very low quality shotguns and rifles.
-
I used to go to Dick’s in Asheville, NC, to outfit my son and daughter with baseball/softball gear – when on sale. I found it wasn’t good for much more than that.
-
It's usefull if you need something right that second and it's too late to order from anywhere else.
-
Isn't there already a Sports Authority out there?
-
Does sports authority have hunting stuff?
-
No... but I don't see a lot of difference between the two. Or Big 5.
-
Walmart has everything i need :chuckle:
-
Speaking of... do any Walmarts sell guns anymore?
-
the Walmart in the Valley as well as the one in Shaddle Park sell long guns.
-
About half the ones around me do. Not really worth looking at or buying from them though. Big 5 has a better selection.

When they opened their store in Renton I went in to purchase a rifle for my son. They had a great deal that if you spent $500 you get a $250 gift card. They have a large gun counter but it is deceptive. At first glance you see 100+ rifles but when you get closer you'll see that they only have about 20 models. Most of them low end. Only one guy seemed competent and I had him special order a Tikka T3. I got the $250 gift card and picked up a scope and some binos with it.
They have a decent amount of stuff but I liked them better when they were out of state so that I could order online and not pay taxes. :)
Not a true outdoors store but a notch up from Big 5 and Sports Authority.

ammo there is cheaper but everything else is way to expensive and customer service was bad last time i was there. A 15 year old asking about a lever action .30/30 for a preset for his grandpa couldnt get the time of day from the old coot behind the counter. :bash:

Was he the guy that happens to work that back archery area as well if so that guy is a class A *censored* I won't shop there after dealing with him. Who had the bright idea of putting the scope rings, and bases in the archery shop. I asked the guy for help after being ignored for 10 minutes than I was given a verbal tirade about how busy he was, and that I would have to wait my turn. I look around wait for a few minutes no one is in sight. I ask the guy if I can just come back, and get the rings I needed he goes off again about me wasting his time when this is something that the gun guys should handle yet the rings are 3 ft away from his face. I should have told the manager instead I dropped down the hill, and spent 150$ at Sportco.

great prices on boots and shoes i have found

I love dick's sporting goods. They had a savage .17 hmr (93r17 btvs) with a Bushnell 3x9 scope for $319...the exact same gun right next to it without a scope was $350. I asked the guy behind the counter if he was sure about those prices. He said "if that's what it says that's what it costs" so I bought it. :chuckle:

$20.00 cheaper then Whistle Work Wear for the same shoes
-
I think there is a $10 off coupon in the Wa State game regs if you spend $ 50 or more.

Yes they are opening one by the Valley mall real soon. Where Sportsmans/Wholesale sports used to be
