We have had a couple of bears hanging around the house lately. My dogs do a good job of keeping them away from my house but one of my neighbors has had them at their house almost daily. He has taken over an hour of video over the past few days. Here is a 5 minute clip of some of the footage....if I can figure out how to add video.

That little guy needs himself an a$$ whooping. Teach the little guy a lesson.

Yeah, the bigger one is kind of a nice bear with the white patch and lighter color. Too bad it looks like a sow and older cub or it would be on my hit list in a few weeks.

That cub can easily get by on it's own, I say take her. They both need to be trapped and moved anyway. The home owner needs to get rid of the bird feeders, and that looks like a rabbit hutch, get rid of the food in it. Did the bunny get eaten? I'd also go to the reservation and load up on M-80's! They need to do something to deter them pesky bruins!

I was thinking the cub was probably old enough too, although some of the softer hearts around might get angry with me in the area. That box is a cat house...supposed to give the cat a safe place from critters :chuckle: There was a similar problem a couple of years ago and they came out and trapped a couple and gave everyone the warnings about bird feeders and dog food etc. We called them last year when the bears showed and they told us a bear in the area doesn't necessarily need relocating until it is causing major problems and there was nothing they would do. Of course, that was just after season closed. I consider these problem bears and they will get removed one way or another.

Those softer hearted folks will change their minds when their pets get eaten or their children are in danger. I don't know where you live but it would make me nervous to have them around like that. Personally I would have cracked open the window and pepper sprayed them! That cub needs to be taught a lessen that it's not ok to snoop around human abodes.

Maybe they should put out a sign that says D-Rock has a countdown going. :chuckle:
