According to news today, our 2nd Amendment is up for grabs by the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty -

If we are serious about enjoying our right to bear arms, then we as hunters and outdoorsmen & women should be making it a very big part of our lives this year to fight to protect those rights! What I want to know is, how many of us on this forum are actually going to do something about it?!
If you are going to get involved, let us all know and let's stand together. Let's canvas our neighborhoods with information, get the word out to our state and local reps and more. It begins with us!
Here's where I'm gonna get started in getting involved:
Locally - http://nraila.org/get-involved-locally.aspx (http://nraila.org/get-involved-locally.aspx)
Stay Informed - https://nraila.org/get-involved-locally/secure/stay-informed.aspx (https://nraila.org/get-involved-locally/secure/stay-informed.aspx)
Grassroots Activism - http://nraila.org/get-involved-locally/grassroots.aspx (http://nraila.org/get-involved-locally/grassroots.aspx)
Register to Vote - http://nraila.org/get-involved-locally/register-to-vote.aspx (http://nraila.org/get-involved-locally/register-to-vote.aspx)

Saw this a while ago and already contacted my leg. reps. Response I got back from one of the more liberal westside persons was pure gibberish. From her response, She (first name starts w/M last name starts w/C) didn't even understand the issue. Darn liberals over here on the wet side!

Totally agree - the libs are out of the loop or just completely brainwashed.
But, I've learned a big lesson - we have got to speak up and out. I have become more and more willing to tell my friends, co-workers, my neighbors this stuff... and it has made a dramatic impact on the way they think. I have converted numerous people from lazy lib thinking and taught them to stay actively engaged. But it takes a lot of work.
If we all started doing just a little bit more - we might just see a change in the direction of our country.

Any more votes?

:bash: gotta love the can-o-spam email back systems they have.. oh yes I hear your concern and will be voting on it shortly then go on to tell me how they are going to vote the other way of what I want and how right it is and then thank you for your continued support.. Well I don't support you, in fact I hope to see you very soon in the un-employment line with everyone else you helped put there.

Ive been hounding everyone for the last several months.....do the polls, send the e-mails....you can count on them to be for and against almost to the number by party. DOes anyone think palosie, clintons, harry reid, and the oblama gang give a flying f**K what any of us thinks ?????They showed no signs of concern over health care.....they award infra structure jobs to china, they stand by and allow china to buy out general motors.....and on and on and on.
I will fight it to the end, but I also know they will tramp the constitution with out hesitation, and none of us can do a damn thing about it. :twocents:

I'm more than with you on this. I've been a stong 2nd Amendment supporter my whole life. I always try and keep a dialog going with my reps. With the exception of our two senators. I'm on the no listen list with them as they only send me propaganda back.

OP: Good thread!

I don't think the UN has anything to do with our 2 amendment rights. It's not their job.

I have always been in to protect my gun rights, but it would be nice to get a group together as well, power in numbers... Right now I am working with my home town to get their local code in line with state law. Going to the public safety committee meeting and city council meeting next week.
