Title: quiet quivers?
Post by: Button Nubbs on July 13, 2012, 10:39:25 PM: im looking at new ones and my 2 requirements are 1: it has to be QUIET!!!! 2: 5 arrow or more. im looking at the alpine softloc quiver. what do yall shoot?

Post by: hughjorgan on July 13, 2012, 10:42:57 PM: The tight spot is what I have on my bow. Quiet and lots of adjustability. Easy to take on and off the bow. It holds five arrows.

Post by: carpsniperg2 on July 13, 2012, 11:45:20 PM: 95% of the time I hunt with a hip quiver. I shoot 3d with a hip quiver and it just comes natural to draw one from the hip. I do not like the extra weight and wind drag on my bows. I might play with one this year and a few of my recurves have them on them.

I also have the leather belt attachment that turns it into a hip quiver that I use with my longbow and the tree screw attachment; both are very worthwhile upgrades. Oh, and yeah, it's quiet: going on, coming off, arrows in and out, and during the shot.

Post by: pianoman9701 on July 14, 2012, 06:31:53 AM: Absolutely the Tight Spot. It's locked to the bow, a bit back from the riser, so it reduces torque and noise. They're a little pricey at 129.95 through the internet (Archery World in Vancouver matched it), but worth every penny.

I used to use a bow quiver, Sagittarius, I think on my C-pound.
But with a recurve I have tried a few, and ended up with a Dawgware side quiver, pockets come in handy for extra calls, file, string, marker ribbon, TP, Kind of like a "Man Purse".
And having an arrow at the tip of my free hand without movement...

Post by: bankwalker on July 23, 2012, 11:24:25 PM: I have an Easton Arsenal quick release quiver. Its convertible from 2 to 1 piece. I tried it as a 2 piece but it sucked. Then i tried it as a 1 piece and it was to big for my liking.....so I took the bottom arrow holder off it's base and put it onto the top base along with the hood.
Now its a tiny quick release 1 piece like the mathews T series quivers. Holds 5 arrows.

It's pretty darn quiet and handy now.
