I've seen the ad's and opened up a box to compare the rounds to what I normally shoot since I don't reload as of yet which is Hornady Superformance for my 300 WM. They definately seem to be sleeker and more aerodynamic. I've heard their BC is better but others say they are no good for hunting because they break up too quickly so they lack in penetration. The ones I saw at Cabelas where hunting rounds. Anyone have any feedback on them?

I couldn't get my HSM 185 VLD in 300WSM to group any better than 2 inches. The winchester brass that came with my HSM box was inconsistent in weight and neck case thickness. I now handload, thanks HSM.

ya thats kind of what I figured. I think the Berger bullet is worth the hype but only when hand loaded. Thanks for the input.

I haven't used the HSM loads, but I've used the Berger VLD bullet in several guns with good results, I'll keep reloading the Bergers. :)

They shoot like a dream out of the girlfriends .25-06.
I couldn't get my VLD hand loads to shoot very well out of my .300 WSM, but that may very well be because they like to be right on the lands and I wasn't willing to shoot that rifle single shot to do it.

Thanks for the input. I'll have to buy a box and see how my rifle likes them.
