-
that first pic he looks like he has a smirk on his face as if saying "you won't see me this fall". :chuckle:
-
Nice Black tail!
Kentreck, Why would you say something like that? :bash: I have seen plenty of BT around peoples homes where i live that are wild... I usually hunt not too far from peoples homes... I hunt where the deer are. There is nothing in that pic that says "pet deer" from that pic. I have seen deer up close for a camera pic like that that you would never see during the season.
I'm always disapointed to hear commnets like yours on here.
-
I harvested a buck from that same distance and he just stood there staring at me. IMO nothing about the pic says he's a pet. :dunno:
-
That is a DANDY BUCK!!!!!!
-
Looks like a Fox Island buck...
-
That's a hog alright. Thanks for sharing.

Kentrek just changed his handle to sourgrapes1. That's a great looking animal.

LOL, please explain to me what it is about that deer that makes it "look like a pet?" I want to be sure that I don't shoot anyone's pet and for the life of me I can't tell what is different about that deer than other deer that I have seen stand along the side of the road ignoring cars, people, etc.

:yeah: and those pet deer will stand around all the time until the velvet falls from their antlers and they start gearing up for the rut and then those pet deer become the grey ghost in which they are... kentrek probably just doesnt really understaand blacktail or it could be that he is mis informed

Oh yeah, and he's an Obama campaign worker, too! (I have no idea if he is really or not, but it seemed like a good stick for the fire we're building!)
:chuckle: :chuckle:

Thats a fine Blacktail but he must be in the city limits or something because he does not seem to worried about the mirrow of the truck hitting him in arz .... :dunno: :chuckle: :chuckle:
-
Why would it matter if it was someone's pet or in a yard not? The thread isn't titled " THIS IS THE BUCK I"M KILLING THIS FALL". Just a picture of a great buck he thought we'd enjoy seeing. Kentrek, why don't you keep your jealous, negative comments to yourself. Very nice buck!
-
Nice shooter buck!!!
-
The pet deer all have ribbons in their hair and little tags around their neck. I see none. Great deer. Thanks for posting him up and if you get a chance to hunt him good luck.
-
Geez, you guys are funny. Kentrek's comment was only this: "looks like a pet deer, no offense." And you guys get all offended. :chuckle:
Maybe you skipped reading the "no offense" part of his comment?

There are a lot of guys on this forum that need to get out in the woods and go kill something.... damn dudes.... sound like a bunch of old women bitching at a bridge playing club....

I agree. I don't think he was intending to ruffle anyone's feathers. That being said, that is a stud for sure. I would venture to say he's around that 130 class as a 3 x 4. The front fork on his left side is pretty amazing. There are a lot of those "pet deer" up here in Whatcom County around lake Whatcom, Sudden Valley, WWU, etc... Lots of real whoppers bedding in residential flower beds and walking down city streets. I don't really care if they are "socially acclimated" or wild, they are nice to look at, gawk at and practice field judging on..

I didn't get that anyone was offended. Just giving kentrek a hard time. That's what we do. That's who we are!

You guys kill me... :chuckle: On a seperate note, I'm in Port Orchard, close to anywhere in Kitsap, and if that "pet" happens to give you a hard time, let me know. I provide free pet sitting, only problem is you may not get your pretty boy back. :dunno: Consider yourself lucky, though I've seen plenty of doe around my house, I've only seen 2 bucks.
-
Looks like a deer with PET; Plenty of Excellent Tines

That is a beautiful buck! Smoke that dude!!!

this is why I love this site so much :chuckle: :chuckle: so many serious hunters on here and I have to take advantage of it ....LMBO.... I was just being me :chuckle: :chuckle: and I guarantee ya no deer like that would be lying on my porch like that if it was in season ..... :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :yeah:

Urbanized, Non-urban, rural or ghetto deer, man we could've probably dragged this out a couple of more pages if he'd used any of those words. :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
