Title: Gentleman's cane...
Post by: rainshadow1 on July 26, 2012, 05:03:09 PM
Well, I was practicing to make a sword cane... This one isn't, it's just a fancy walking stick. The next one will have a blade in it!

This one is Cocobolo and American Holly. I was going to make a brass ferrule on the tip, but decided to stick with the theme and made a coco ferrule and plugged it with horse stall mat rubber. Really a cool piece! Beautiful, stylish, fancy, functional if you've got a gimp, and could VERY readily double as an impact weapon. OAL is 34 1/2".

Honestly don't know what to ask for it, shoot me an offer! (Super fancy, a sword cane at this level will push $500, but like I said, this one is just a stick.)

Sorry the photos are a little washed, I got glue on my phone camera, and had to scrape it flat and buff it, came out ok, but occasionally overexposes...

Thanks for looking!

Am I the only one that sometimes wishes he had a limp and had an excuse to dress with a tux and top hat?

Been researching the market, I used too much nice wood! Realistic price is $80. Let's start by asking that...
