Title: tips for lake chelan
Post by: tony04 on August 01, 2012, 10:22:55 PM
Going to chelan in a month for some camping and fishing. I do plan on bringing the down riggers but I've never used down riggers before. I really don't care for trolling though. Too boring. Is trolling the only way to catch mackinaw? What about burbot.? What's the best method to fish for those?  What are the best areas to fish ? We're launching at 25mile and camping at one of the boat in camp sites.   Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not sure about the mack fishing but for burbot we use glow in the dark buzz bomb's with worms jigged slowly off the bottom at night. Good luck hope this help's a little.

I use 15lb test. We fish at Sullivan lake this way and we get snagged alot on stumps and rocks, so don't want to heavy of a line that we can't break the line.
