Title: Wenatchee Area Bears??
Post by: WArookie on August 16, 2008, 07:08:52 PM: Anyone able to point me in the right direction to find bears near Wenatchee? I have been several places in the Mission unit, but I have yet to stumble onto any fresh looking sign.

This is my first season chasing bears up here, so any pointers would be appreciated. I guess my main strategy so far has been to stalk around creeks and thick berry patches until I see or hear a bear. What should I do differently?

I just got back from CA on Friday, and I've been out twice in the Mission Unit. I know what you mean by lack of sign!!! My usual go-to holes are a bit dry, full of berries, but lacking any sign of bears. I may have to go hit some Blewett Pass spots or head north.

Let me know if you want someone to hunt with...I'm in Cashmere.
