Title: ??Bear in Manastash?
Post by: iRem on August 05, 2012, 08:49:46 PM: I am going over into the area to do some scouting next Saturday to check on the roads and to find myself a Cow Elk this Sept. and I was wondering how the Bear population is over there? Has any one had any success in the area, and it would also be nice to see some pics! And, if any one has any advise for that area I would appreciate it as well! Thanks

the cougar population is healthy so have that tag in hand as well.

Post by: sled on August 05, 2012, 10:59:01 PM: 26 years hunting/hiking/camping in the Lt Murray i have seen 6 bears, with one hanging... :dunno: Its possible, but i wouldnt make a specific trip myself. If your going scouting throw the rifle in for sure.

+1 on the cougars. We need to kill alot of them. Every year i see atleast 3 kills. Cant imagine how many more 1 cat can kill.

I'll make sure to wait until the 1st on the cats :)
