So I have the tamper proof cover to the Bushnel locked and I treaded a one quarter inch wire cable through the box, which has a weatherproof tamper proof lock on it.
Due to the length of the cable, I only can wrap it around trees less than three feet in diameter. I guess if they really want to steal it, they will have to cut down the tree with a chain saw.
I am testing an inexpensive trail camera over on the side of the yard. There are big bucks going thru there.
I am getting one of those primos 46 ultras. Note that if you order through Bass Pro, there is no shipping charge and no sales tax.
I need the time lapse feature. During the summer not much wind, but in the fall, there is a lot of wind where I hunt and I can't find a spot where branches won't trigger the camera.
Question, have you tried mounting the camera on an overhanging large limb? The camera would be pointing down.

I just use lag bolts. got my lock box lagged into a 6 inch tree. If someone wants it that bad, they'll get it no matter what you use. Fortunately, my camera is where nobody goes anyway....

Well, I apparently put the camera too close. The animal passed before the camera took a picture.
I have now set it back a dozen feet.
Hopefully, I will get a nice set of raccoon pics. I plan to soak it for a week this time.

I get a lot of pictures of the empty site. Finally got a picture of one of the culprits...
