Went hunting along highway 2. I walked up into position with my young partner. We sat down next to some fresh bear scat on the log. I glassed for about 25 minutes and I spotted one up along the edge of the clear cut about 250 yards away. I crossed the trail to get into a good shooting rest and he slowly moved into the bushes. Never saw another bear all weekend. Apparently while walking into position another bear winded me. I never saw him..
I did see a spiked blacktail buck in velvet. I took some photos of him. No photo of the bear. I was trying to put the bear in the crosshairs.
