Of course, it was a doe.... :chuckle:
doerunnin (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvoav7XwXyg#)
Never seen a doe come in this quick before...almost thought I was gonna get stomped.
Unknown to me, until she bolted back up the hill, she had two fawns bed down up on the hill. She must have thought one was getting attacked.
She got to about 10 ft before the fawn on the hill bleated to her and off she went back up. Went out looking for new area....found a few decent spots.
I believe I called in one yote and bear on the same set...when I got down and walked the road following my tracks, fresh pile of bear poo IN my tracks and yote prints IN my tracks, both about 75 yards away, down a small hill out of my sight. :bash: :chuckle:
I got schooled.

I guess that's one way to know if you are effectively calling

Great video!
It always amazes me how ornery those old does can get, seen several chasing coyotes over in the wheat fields.
-
That is really cool. I think I have called in more deer then predators
-
Cool video! She wasted no time in coming to the call.
-
Cool vid. I guess you know how to fill that doe tag now!
-
I've called in quite a few deer with the Rabbit Distress call. It sounds very much like a fawn bleat.

Very cool!!! Still amazes me evertime how quick and nimble they are.... Would've taken me at least 30-40 minutes to hike there and back in what she did in 30 seconds!!!! :chuckle:

Awsome video Saylean. Called a black cow and calf this morning was interest. Just seen my first eastern washington bear 1/2 hour ago first this year. Awsome pelt slate to brown plenty of fir. Dropped off the bank in front of me. Seen a nice coyote at day light. Keep after them buddy. Hunt Conconully still having fun. Rick

man that doe came hauling in. i think she was a little po'd :chuckle:. cool video at least you know that call works :chuckle:

I've had that happen a few times and I always feel bad for freaking the doe out.
Good quality on your video.
-
Watch it out there. Moose and even elk mamas can have a very different mind set and much larger front feet.

That was pretty cool. Thanks for sharing
