I chose to go to CWU because their school schedule matches up with elk season perfectly. Ill be up there from 2 days before til closing most likely  Then down the mountain and class starts a few days later :bash:

I just worked through the night completing taxes and mandatory commodity flow surveys for the DOC. :bash: Three more days and we are shutting things down for a week of antelope hunting. Man, am I ready. I'm starting to feel sorry for all those bleeding heart liberal antelope :IBCOOL:

Went out tonight with the kids and gf and i think i had a bear come into my phelps call...he came in crashin....but my kids were too noisy i think :bash: :chuckle:

I have the month of September off and none too soon. I have only taken one full day off this year, and can hardly wait. Headed to elk camp on Sept 2nd or 3rd. Then hunting hunting Washington elk, then to Oregon to chase some bulls around the John Day Wilderness til the end of their season. Home for a week with some light hunting and fishing, and back to the daily grind.
-
First week off for me, more if needed!
-
I'm losing my mind and need to hunt really badly. I went scouting on Sunday to a spot I've been looking at on Google Earth and it's everything I could've hoped for. wallows, tons of tracks, lots of water and feed, and not a human footprint anywhere. Oh yeah, baby!

I have been spending the last three weeks getting my two kids ready and off to college (last one this weekend). Tyring to get things wrapped up at work for when I'm gone. Haven't even been able to get out and shoot for a couple weeks. Glad I got a lot of shooting in with my new bow early this year. Next week is nothing but shooting and getting everything cooked, packed and waiting for my dad to show up so we can go. Now a little weather break would be nice to get the elk moving. Found a new spot this year I have high hopes for :IBCOOL:
Can't wait for everyones stories and pictures

Here are some pics of the new spot. ooh-rah!
