looking for two trial cameras to put out to scout some areas for bear,yotes and deer. dont know much about the different brands went to cabelas and they recommended the bushnells looking for something cheaper to try for my first cameras. thanks

Since you're new to trail cameras, I would recommend getting two different cameras, instead of two of the same. I also would recommend buying from either Wal Mart or Amazon. Wal Mart because their prices are good, and it's easy to return a camera if it doesn't work right, or if it quits working later. Amazon is always worth a look too because it's rare to find anything cheaper somewhere other than Amazon. I would recommend the $50 Tasco from Wal Mart but I see they are out of stock right now. You might be able to get one off ebay for between $40 and $50. Another one you might look at is the Primos Truth Cam 35. Wal Mart (online) has it for $80.89 and Amazon has it for $77.99. I would buy it from Wal Mart for the additional $3 because it will be easier if you need to return it later. Also, Wal Mart offers and extended warranty, I think for about $6 you get an extra year, or maybe two, tacked on to the manufacturer's warranty (which is 1 year).

Something else to consider: there will be some really good deals on trail cameras in December and January, when the manufacturers are coming out with their new 2013 cams, and the dealers are dumping the old models at ridiculously low prices. The low prices don't last for long, so you have to be ready to jump on some good deals when you see them.

If you buy the $50 tascos your gonna want to use some kinda bait. They take pretty good pics but the trigger is very slow.

Mine doesn't have a slow trigger. I've used the Tascos on trails lots of times with no bait and they work fine. The only problem I do have is the delay between pictures is about 15 to 20 seconds. It's not adjustable, it just is what it is. But the pictures I get usually the animal is just coming into the frame, or centered. I rarely get shots of nothing. It is important to set it up correctly, just like with any other camera. You don't want it perpendicular to the trail.
Here are a few pictures from my cheap Tasco from a few months back, and this is just set on a trail with no bait or attractant.

I like the Moultrie D55 flash camera. You can get it right now for $65 directly from Moultrie. Contrary to what a lot of people think, the flash does not scare the animals. I have a cougar that slept in front of it one night while it kept taking pics every time he moved. However, if you are looking for a photo quality that you could frame, this more than likely is not your camera. If you just want nice clean photos it does the job. Good luck on your search
