You have time in Sept through Dec to join a hunt?  I hunt the dry side, East of the Cascades.  I live on the wet side, West of the Cascade.  Check out http://WDFW.wa.gov (http://WDFW.wa.gov) for the regs.  It will help you out.  Welcome to the ite.

I would help if I could, but haven't had any luck out here yet myself.  But I didn't start trying till a couple of years ago anyway.  Ft. Lewis allows hunting on base, just have to watch a video and register.  We tried archery on Lewis last year, saw a few does and a bear.  But was never able to get in range, we are doing modern this year do to some medical issues and will not be on Lewis.  If you want PM me and I will let you know what I saw where.  Archery season was HOT last year, looks like it will be this year as well.
