So I saw a bunch of boats at the mouth of the Yakima in Richland today are they fishing for salmon or still fishing for squawfish

Cats and bass.  A few guys try for sturgeon around the wye as well.

they're all salmon fishing.

I saw some get landed this morning but none by me! I think I am doing what they are but not sure about depth any input on how deep to set my downrigger?

Hug the bottom, fish the bottom 5 feet.
