Got my license this year, and have been out a few times at different places since August 1st with no luck. Went over to stampede pass early Sunday morning, 5 am, but didn't find anything again. I've had friends tell me that there are a lot of berries over there and that bears are there, but nothing for me.... Didn't see any signs at all, no poo, no berries, no fur on trees. Maybe I just went to the wrong spots over there?? Really dissappointed with Stampede, are there even bears there? Other places I've been at had signs, this place had none.
I will start looking at different places again. How do you guys do your research as to where to go?

Stampede pass can be a waste of time as you saw. However, if you go across the highway, kinda, around Gold creek basin, there are alot more options, and I personally saw 3 sunday. Just not what I wanted. You are on the right track, just dont give up. The north side of the freeway can be alot more productive. :twocents:
