not a bad little scope for the price, was going to go nikon for 50 bucks or so more but it was 50mm objective and I didn't want the scope so high off the gun as kids will be shooting it too. 1/4 moa, seems very nice. The clickers are setup more like a tactical scope and are coinless and numbered on top and around the sides. Think I like that, going to see if I can pull the turret off and set it to zero at 100 instead of 14 like I got now. According to the website I can, but haven't attempted it yet. Pretty well pleased with this cheaper scope at 150 bucks Big R prices.
Not so good news for the gun itself:
I still hate the stock, it is so flimbsy I can't wrap the sling around my elbow or the stock pulls into the barrel.
Going to try and bed the whole thing, from the bolt to the forend. I'll space the barrel and use release agent on it. The stock has waffle holes in it so I'll fill them with some Devon plastic steel.
Still not pleased with the throat, excessive carbon buildup around the first three inches in and the brass is showing a lot of carbon down to the shoulders as well. If I don't gain some improvements I'll probably send it to Rbros or something see if they can true it up and get it shooting.
overall not pleased with this little remington 700 SPS Compact thus far, it is not a take it out the box and shoot it gun.
The action is nice though, working smooth and solid.
With the new scope my MOA is 1.25 or so, two rounds will usually touch and the 3rd will fly....no cool down just a fast 3 round group (2 mins for three shots)

vortex is a damn good product :tup::yeah:
I have 2 vortex scopes. One on my .300 weatherby and one on my .223 weatherby. I am VERY please with the glass they produce. Very clear and pulls light in very well in low light conditions.

i heard they are made in the same wear house as leupold in oregon idk if its true or not thoughI think that is Redfield that is made in same location is Leupold.

I looked at some redfields, said made in China
I think it's just the revenge series? - has some garish graphics on the packaging.
