Will a die from a redding fit on a dillion?
thinking of getting started reloading and checking out companies with different die and offerings.
example:
The only ones making a .243AI die is redding, but I'd like a Dillon press so would the redding dies work on the dillon press,or RCBS ?
I want
10mm/40SW
.243 AI
.243
30-06
9x25 dillon
.308
6.5 Grendel
6.8 SPC
.300 WM
bunch more too eventually

dies are dies...
Threads and such are all to universally accepted standards.. I use Redding in my RCBS and Lee presses.. and I have used RCBS dies in a Dillon Press way back when I had a buddy that owned one.

Yep. I would strongly suggest on the longer necked cases to get the carbide dies if you can swing it along with some Dillon case lube. Trust me...using the case extractor is not much fun and the carbide dies and a little lube go a long way.

I have nothing atm in the way of reloading, starting from scratch.

I've got a 550 and love it. I have mine on a strong mount bracket...gets it up off the bench.
Older thread of mine....
I've since done good run of .45 acp and a 1k count run of .223..

Thats a whole lot of stuff!

Get what you need to extract a stuck case from a die--you WILL need to do it eventually, so having the stuff on hand to do the job will ease the pain. Pliers or Vise Grips won't work. Don't even try!
