Slept under the stars last night. Bugles put me to sleep. Good luck to the archery hunters moving into my area  :chuckle: Climbed 3000' and hiked a lot of elk trails today. Huckleberries, salmon berries, and strawberries for nourishment. I'll stop scouting and wait to November.

We were up Sunday Scouting deep in the Margaret unit, found a nice 6x6 with 30 cows, what a stud! with the cold temps the elk and deer were out feeding until late in the morning. Good luck to the archery hunters!

I'll be poking around a bit more the next few weekends and then after they get done to see how things settled out.
