we canned tuna today. trimmed off the belly meat not sure what to do with it any ideas?

Use it for salmon bait

A lot of guys wrap flat's and kwicks with tuna belly meat.

Maybe cut into cubes and make ka-bobs....but wrap the ka-bob with bacon before grilling. :drool:

Send that nasty stuff to me for proper disposal.

Smoke it, grill it, use it for bait or wrapping plugs etc. Good stuff.

I just tried barbecuing the bellies for the first time last weekend. It was excellent, just throw it on the grill and cook until done (It's extra fatty, so you'll want it to be medium/medium well). It was equal to the extra rare and raw loin that I made.

It is far and away the best part to use for sushi if you like sushi.

Sushi is excellent from tuna....also great on the grill.

slice the tuna real thin then dredge it thru some teraki sauce and slide it down your throat...yeah baby thats what it's all about.
