Title: I need Stock Capes!
Post by: Michelle_Nelson on September 04, 2012, 09:13:29 PM
Hey Guys Deer and Elk Season are here.  I am in need of some Extra Capes for stock.  Every year I get in animals with a cape that is unmountable for one reason or another and I like to have stock capes on hand for those that may need one.  Some of the capes I am interested in:

Blacktail Deer
Mule Deer
Whitetail Deer
Antelope
Elk
Moose
Black Bear (full hides must include claws)

Price depends on the size and quality of the cape.  Deer Capes bring up to $75. Elk up to $125.  XXLarge capes can bring more.  I will exchange antler plaques for capes or shop credit.  If I have enough cash available sometimes I will pay cash.

If any of you shoot an animal with a nice cape and decent neck size and don't plan on mounting it, please let me know.  Just cape it out and put it in the freezer or bring it right to me.  The antlers and/or Horns will be returned to you.  If you have any questions just give me a call: (360) 704 - 0034.

I have the cape on my whitetail that I killed opening day in the freezer you are welcome to.  It's still on the skull.  It's cut for a shoulder mount, around the belly, up the legs on the line of the white and brown fur, once at the top of that line, cut straight back to the around the body cut.  I wanted the option to shoulder mount it but now have decided on a nice euro mount.  The only issue is I am on the east side and driving for me over there to drop it off would not be worth it.  If you can come up with something, you can have it.  Trade out a skull cleaning for the cape or something.

92xj, Where are you located on the East side?  I make several trips to the east side every year.  You can send me your location in a PM if you wish.

sticknstringman, I'm just looking for buck/bull capes right now.

I tried Michelle, I really did but it got awfully heavy and didn't make it down the mountain unfortunately.
