Post by: Blacklab on September 06, 2012, 07:34:05 PM
Here's a few pics of my first build. It came out looking great I think. I have taken it to the range once and felt good. Useing factory 123 a-max for right now. Down the road I'll start working up some loads to be a serious deer killing peice of equipment

Good job , by the way. 123gr factory A-Max's at Grendel velocities are serious deer medicine.

Great looking gun!  Just one thing missing--A Winter Trigger Guard.  Best mod you can do to an AR, and only a $15 item.  You'll love it when you go deer hunting in cold weather with gloves on.

Went to the range today and fireformed a bunch of brass for my .20 LBC.  (6.5 Grendel necked down to .204.)  Now I'm ready to work up some serious loads for that coyote-killing machine.  Even the fireforming loads were accurate enough for hunting.

BTW, YHM's (Yankee Hill Machine) factory is about 1/4 mile from where I went to High School.
