Do what true hunters do, and go find a clear-cut, or a moutain and put in some boot-work. The nearset hills to you will be fine

Actually quite a few places to try. I feel if one is willing to hike a ways finding a bear is the least of your worries it's getting it out. most roads that lead to the hills around here have gates on them. Hwy 2 I would think would be a good place to head and look for gated roads and start walking. There are bears dang near everywhere its just a matter of getting after them on foot.

Look for public ground anywhere out hwy 2 from about Monroe eastward....

Sitting in the dark on stand off hwy 2 as we speak. Looking for a bear fir bro on law. Hwy 2 from monroe to the pass. Lots of room for everybody and plenty of ground.

According to the other thread currently the word C-Post bothers 26% of Hunt-Wa members. So, right now the majority are OK with it. Or at least that's the way the votes are going on the poll.

If you don't ind a short drive south you can always find them in the zoo :chuckle: Seriously though....Bears are dang near everywhere away from the population. Take a drive up to the hills and start walking. We all have our spots but they are mostly easy to find with just a little legwork.
