My Dad wants to sell me his pretty much brand new Knight Bighorn (camo) with thumb hole stock and the Williams FP Rear peep sight. It will be my first muzzleloader and he is willing to sell me it for $350. Should i pull the trigger?
-
I just bought the Bighorn. I'm an ambi-shooter so I didn't get the thumbhole. If it shoulders well, it's worth the money. This thing shoots very well, shoulders well, and the fiber optic sights it comes with work great.
Oh - and I'm VERY fond of the stainless barrel. I think I may make that mandatory for all new guns at the ctwiggs1 home.
-
IF you dont buy it I would like too!!!
-
Heck it's your dad just tell him you would like to borrow it :chuckle:

Maybe his Social Security isn't cutting it. You probably make more than he did on his best day. Give him the $350, and just count it as compensation for all the times you puked on him! :chuckle: :chuckle:

I guess that's fair :chuckle:

I would offer a case of beer

He will let me barrow it no problem... Plus he doesn't want to sell it, he will only sell it if i want it to buy it from him becuse then he will buy the new Disc Extreme. Im just looking down the road. going to need one for myself eventually and seems like a pretty good deal.
-
That way it stays in the family. Then if he doesn't like the Disc Extreme he can work a trade to get his old one back... ;)
-
Go get your dad the new one as an early b-day gift. Let him keep them both and just borrow if you ever need to. You only get one dad so treat him right. :twocents:

The sad thing is i already offered. He is worth more than a muzzleloader, he is my best friend and would get /do anything for him.

If you are looking to buy one anyways, you might as well pick up your dad's. That should be a sweet gun.

I wish my Dad was around to buy a gun from, miss him !
