Title: pretty typical! darn elk!
Post by: bankwalker on September 11, 2012, 09:24:14 PM
I've been chasing my local elk all season....only to see 1 elk in the area I'm hunting and of course it was a spike, legal is anterless or 3pt. And my second area I've seen nothing but cows, legal is 3pt.  :bash:

I live on the skokomish/satsop boundary, but i live on the skok side. Well typical Michael's luck, I pull into the driveway tonight and it sounds like an elk calling contest in my neighbors property. :yike: grabbed my calls of course and harassed those elk for about a hour.
20 cows called in, 3 bulls, and my neighbor  :chuckle:

There's close to 60 elk in this herd. Been watching them for a couple months. But now as of tonight there were quite a few bulls bugling, at least 5 different bulls. And there had only been 3 I've seen previously
