So here is my situation. We are just in the finish stage of our brand new house in the middle of Blacktail paradise. She grew up on a large ranch in Wyoming and has always been around wildlife. The only animal that bugs her is cougars. Her words to me where. If I see one or you get pictures of one we are putting the house up for sale the next day. So tell me did I really get this picture????
-
nope, that's a bobcat in drag :chuckle: :chuckle:
-
Dead cat = Happy wife
-
Kill it,, then show her how you saved the family home from being sold, by shooting the BAAAADDDDDD KITTY!!!! :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
Until that point.. tell her that pic is from Dman and is of his bobcat.... :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
-
DO NOT show that to your wife, or tell her about it!
Cool picture though!
-
tell her it's photoshopped, see the grasses and the legs are faded out too much - head is too large for the body
yup - it's a prank done to you by a "friend" :chuckle:
-
Sometimes trailcameras come with a preloaded image to show you what your photos might look like...kind of like how picture frames already have a picture of a family or a sailboat. I bet that's what it is....
-
I get about 5-700 pics a week from 7 cameras and this is the first one. Bobcats (NOT Dman style) The real deal,2 100-125 pound bears I get every 3-4 days and deer like no tomorow but this was a first. I have about 3700 acres of private ground we are building on the edge of and me and my son are the only ones allowed to hunt the property. :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL:

:yeah: That is funny!!!!! :chuckle: :chuckle:
-
youve already said too much :bdid: erase the pic and this post!
-
I would shoot it and have it mounted. Then mount it on the wall as a suprise for your aniversary or her birthday. She would love it.
-
If she doesn't want to live near cougars, then you'll be living in a condo in downtown seattle. Then you'll have to worry about the other predators!

That's funny...the SD card must have fallen out somewhere in the woods. Works every time!

Freemont Cougars (you can tell them by the Dreads under their arm pits) and Chicken Hawks :puke:
Besides that is no cougar, that is a house cat, just ask Dman
-
It won't be "Blacktail Paradise" if you let that thing roam. Kill it and save both your house and your paradise.
-
We are currently working on the removal plan. With a full on assault being started tonight. Well since you guys have convinced me that is just a color phase black bear. I don't have to worry about hiding anything from her.
-
Im sure you wouldnt be the first guy to not tell his wife about a good lookin cougar around the house. Cool pic
-
his body dont look huge, but his head is massive, i say be quiet and DEAD PUDDY TAT!! :mgun: :mgun2: :bfg: :archery_smiley: :mgun:
-
I'd get rid of the wife !! My wife has said goofy crap like that until I showed her the real world.
-
I don' see a cougar... As was stated earlier erase all evidence!cool pic though.
SR1
-
Clearly it is an African lion with mange.
-

What cougar? Sometimes there are little things my wife doesn't need to know and this would be one of those things, if it were my wife.
-
Tell her.
Hold your ground on the new house.
But don't take my advice. I'm 0 for 2 in the marriage department. :chuckle:
The flip side of being 0 fer is I don't have ask, beg, make promise or any other form of graveling just to go hunting. :chuckle:
-
Besides, if you do tell her, look at how much of hero and protector she will think you are when you let the air out of the kitty.
-

:lol4: :lol4:

I'd tell her. How do you not tell your best friend about such a cool pic? Besides, almost anywhere you go they are there whether you see them or not. :twocents:
-
Well, I came clean had to a buddy of mine showed his wife and they are friends. :bash: So after a hour long conversation :bash: and a lot of :bash:. I dont think I will have any problems with a lot of predator hunting in the near future.

But your buddy violated man law. :(

I missed that the first time. :chuckle:
-
Trust me we will be talking about man laws, He didnt even let me know his wife said something to me at football tonight. I was like ummmm. Lets just my wife is not happy. Now if anyone here has seen the two legged shelton cougar :yike: they would know the four legged version is the best type to have around your house!! much safer and better looking.
-
It's just a house cat - I wouldn't worry about it babe ;-)
-
Don't lie to your wife. It'll bite you in the butt worse than that cat. But, also explain to her that with 3 exceptions, every county in the state is at carrying capacity for cougar and in Kilckitat, it's the most populated cougar area in the country.
There's nowhere in WA that you can escape cougars. One was killed here in downtown Vancouver last year, less than a half-mile away from where my daughter attended school. Just get a few extra dogs from the pound, don't name them, and tie them up outside under your stand.
-
Pianoman, I did come clean with her. No for sale sign but she is not real happy. She knows all about there range and where they can be located. I hunted for the wdfw for 8 years after they passed I-655. This one had to be just passing thru the area as we have a ton of deer.

 Then you need to have something just "pass through" it.
-
Id tell her so that you guys could move to that wyoming ranch she grew up on. Probably much better than washington.

Come on you said you'd sale if there was any cougars on the property! I was just getting ready to PM you an offer. 3,700 acres for just you and your son to hunt? Sounds like you got room for a new hunting buddy, just kidding - maybe, hope to see a dead cat pic soon.
-
you dont have to lie to your wife, just forget to tell her about it, most wives seem to forget to tell their husbands stuff until its to late and your sitn at the in-laws for dinner :chuckle: what she dont know wont hurt her right? well i guess if she wants to go on a hike outside you could insist that she carries a howitzer with her... :chuckle: :twocents: :dunno:

Somethings a better left unsaid!
