Thanks Cory and Tom for a little bit of insight on the areay. Long story short, I found out I'm having a child, less than two weeks after I drew the tag, I usually take an entire week off of work for elk season, but not this year. I thought I was actually going to have to burn the tag, but get the last two days to hunt. Even bigger problem is haven't had time off or money to go scout so I'm winging it, and going to give it hell. Here's to the bulls talking loud and being real horny! :IBCOOL: Not a lot of time, but one day is better than none. Wish me luck :hello:

thats interesting, my brother in law has this tag and hasn't been able to hunt hard because he had a baby this week so we are going to hit it hard the last two days as well.
Good luck to you

Make sure you call the powers that be about access in the area. With all the fires over here, you may not get access to some of the areas you planned to hunt....

It's all open in there. Don't worry about that. I friends up there right now

Just spent the last six days over there. I'm sure you're probably up there and will get this too late but PM me if you need any ideas where to go.

Finding out why it's so hard to get permission to hunt private land up there, damn poachers. Seen two dead cows while up scouting. So sad. :bash:
