Title: Chehalis report
Post by: Jamieb on September 16, 2012, 07:55:06 PM
I trolled herring for 7 hour today just up river from Cosmopolis. Not many fish in there yet. My dad caught one little silver, I seen about 3 others caught and a couple of fish jump. I  havent heard how the fishing is farther down river but I wouldnt waste time above cosmoplis for another week or so.

Took a ride down to Grays Harbor/Aberdeen yesterday.  About 60-70 boat trailers at the 28th Street launch, most appeared down and in front of the Hoquiam River.  Talked with a few guys....an occasional coho and a few jacks.

Friends Landing and Monty boat launches....5-7 trailers at each, about the same success...an occasional coho or two, some lost a fish or two, and a couple jacks.  Saw one seal at Monty picking up fish guts along the shore.

Some fish in the river for sure, but a rain will do wonders.

Fished above cosy today for about 6 hours or so and we got 2 silvers in the boat and had 3 or 4 other take downs but couldn't set the hook. Saw quite of few other fish cought. Oh ya we also saw the warden out there, he went real slow buy us I think he was glassing my boat tags. Was a good day, had lots of fun with my bro. Definitely need rain though!!
