Just wondering, because I would go no matter what. Unless I was so bad off I was in the hospital of course.
Would you let a cold stop you?

GO HUNTING,
I get a cold like clockwork every friggin year before modern deer season. Whiskey helps cure the pain at night, then get up and go get ya a buck!!!

I hunted this weekend with a head cold. Not comfortable, but any day in the woods beats sitting on the couch! :twocents:

Depends on your definition of "sick". :dunno:
Is the guy hung over, does he have the flu, kidney stones, cancer? Each one of these is worse than the next, makes a big difference how "sick" he is before you can answer a poll like that. :twocents:

I think the OP was referring to a cold type sick

LOL, a cold is little more than a nuisance during hunting season, I would not classify that is being "sick". :twocents:

I had a little bit of a head cold or alergies this weekend and being out in the woods made me feel better.
-
For me it would depend on how sick, and whether or not medicine was helping. If I had a cold but had the coughing/sneezing under control I would go. Last year though I had major upper respiratory infection and no amount of drugs seemed to help. I missed most of the hunting season because I figured it would be a waste of time if every animal in the woods could hear me sneezing/coughing/blowing my nose all day long. :(

Yup, cold....
lol....
Pretty much ervything you guys said is what I said to him.
:chuckle:

If I wasn't sick enough to be in the hospitol I'd be hunting...
-
Sounds like a puss. Maybe he's sick because he doesn't have a relationship with the woods. Take enough drugs and go hunting in any condition.

When I smoked, by the time modern elk season rolled around, I had Bronchitis, or some other upper respretory issues.. including fevers, chills, unable to hardly breath... usually brought on from lack of proper rest I was working nights, hunting during the day, sleeping a few hours, then back to work. I was still out there every day hunting, hiking, doing my share to pack out a buddies animal....

If I can get myself out of bed, I'm going hu   :drool:nting.

If it's just a little cold, then getting out in the woods would likely make him feel better. With the weather like it is, getting fresh air and sunshine is almost sure to help and sure wouldn't hurt. :twocents:

The problem is that your not getting much of fresh air right now anywhere in the state pretty much. :chuckle:

I think I'm starting to feel a cold coming on right now????? I think I better stay home this wed. thru fri. and hopefully this cold will go away over the weekend. :dunno: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Fever and/or sore throat would keep me home. A sore throat makes everything miserable.
-
I like sweating out a cold anyway. :twocents:
-
I would rather be miserable out in the woods than be miserable at home/work.
-
If it was just a cold I would go, little sniffle never hurt anyone. However if it was an upper respiratory infection to where I was out of work for 3 days and on antibiotics and coughing I would stay home to get better. Someone posted here that if your coughing and trying to hunt that it wouldn't work because everything would hear you and not to mention if you went with someone you may make their trip to woods miserable to by hacking your head off.
That's just my 2 :twocents:. The way i see it get better so that way you don't end up worse and missing more of the season.
